Data protection

Protecting the privacy of users of our online offering when processing personal data is an important concern for Daniel-Friedgen.de. When you visit our website, our web servers save the IP address of your Internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the web pages you visit on our site, and the date and duration of your visit. This information is essential for the technical transmission of the web pages and secure server operation.

SSL encryption

Daniel-Friedgen.de uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Hosting

For the purpose of operating and making our websites available, Daniel-Friedgen.de uses hosting services from the provider we have commissioned to host the website to provide infrastructure services, storage space and database services, security services to ensure a secure online presence and other technical maintenance services. With the help of the hoster, we can, where necessary, process inventory data, contact data, content data, contract data, usage data, meta and communication data from customers, interested parties and visitors to our websites for the purpose of secure and efficient operation of the websites. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and Art. 28 GDPR.

Cookies

“Cookies” are small files that are stored on users’ computers. Different information can be stored within cookies. A cookie is primarily used to store information about a user (or the device on which the cookie is stored) during or after their visit to an online service. Temporary cookies, or “session cookies” or “transient cookies”, are cookies that are deleted after a user leaves an online service and closes their browser. Such a cookie can, for example, store the contents of a shopping cart in an online shop or a login status. Cookies that remain stored even after the browser is closed are referred to as “permanent” or “persistent”. For example, the login status can be stored when users visit this website again after several days. Likewise, such a cookie can store the interests of users, which are used for reach measurement or marketing purposes. “Third-party cookies” are cookies that are offered by providers other than the person responsible for operating the online service (otherwise, if they are only their cookies, they are referred to as “first-party cookies”). Daniel-Friedgen.de can use temporary and permanent cookies and explains this in our data protection declaration.

If you do not want cookies to be saved on your computer, you should deactivate the corresponding option in the system settings of your browser. Saved cookies can be deleted in the system settings of the browser. Excluding cookies can lead to functional restrictions of the Daniel-Friedgen.de online offering. A general objection to the use of cookies used for online marketing purposes can be declared for a large number of services, especially in the case of tracking, via the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/.

Automatically stored non-personal data:

Daniel-Friedgen.de collects data about access to the site and saves it as “server log files”. The following data is logged in this way:

  • Visited website
  • Time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you came to the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used
  • The data collected is only used for statistical evaluations and to improve the website. However, Daniel-Friedgen.de reserves the right to subsequently check the server log files if there are concrete indications of illegal use.

Personal data

Daniel-Friedgen.de sets up password-protected access for every user who registers at www.Daniel-Friedgen.de. Only the self-registering user and the specified administrator are authorized to access the personal data. All users undertake to treat their personal access data as strictly confidential and not to make it available to third parties. The administrator is also obliged to treat the data of the users to which he has access as strictly confidential and not to make it available to third parties.

The registered user has the option to object to the use of his/her personal data as described above at any time, Section 35 Paragraph 5 of the Federal Data Protection Act.
The right of objection can be exercised in any form, i.e. verbally, in writing or by email. In order to check, it is necessary for the registered user to name the personal data against which the objection is directed and to state the reasons on which the objection is based.

access data and log files

We, or rather our hosting provider, collect data on every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files) on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f. GDPR. The access data includes the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider. Log file information is temporarily stored for security reasons (e.g. to investigate misuse or fraud) and then deleted. Data that needs to be retained for evidentiary purposes is exempt from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.

Social Media

We have refrained from using social media plug-ins that forward IP addresses and other user data directly to external servers. The integrated social media buttons (Facebook and Twitter) contain generated links that do not transmit any personal data or automatic data (live-up data without clicking).

CodePen

We use the web development tool CodePen, which is operated by a company based in the USA. The provider is located at 919 NW Bond St., Suite 203, Bend, OR 97702, USA. Please note that, according to an assessment by the European Court of Justice, an adequate level of data protection is currently not guaranteed for the transfer of data to the USA. Data processing is primarily carried out by CodePen, which may result in data not being processed or stored anonymously. There is also a possibility that US authorities may gain access to certain data. In some cases, this data may also be linked to information from other CodePen services for which you have a user account. For more information on CodePen's data processing and privacy practices, please see its privacy policy at: https://blog.codepen.io/legal/privacy-policy/.

Use of Openstreetmap

Daniel-Friedgen.de uses Leaflet API, a map service that allows OpenStreetMap - the open source alternative to Google Maps - to be integrated into the website. From a technical point of view, it is necessary to send requests to other servers for correct display. These requests would in principle make it possible for information about the use of this website (including IP address) to be transferred to other servers and stored there. After analysis by the developer tools, the other servers are limited to maps.wikimedia.org (map layers) and unpkg.com (Leaflet files). You have the option of deactivating the OpenStreetMap service and thus preventing data transfer to third parties by deactivating JavaScript in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use the map display on our pages or will only be able to use it to a limited extent. Openstreetmap is used in the interest of improving our online offering. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. More information about OpenStreetMap can be found at https://www.openstreetmap.de. More information about the Leaflet API used can be found at https://www.leafletjs.com

Contact forms

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass this data on without your consent. The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a of GDPR. You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal message to us by email is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. The data you enter in the contact form will remain with Daniel-Friedgen.de until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Change of Privacy Policy

Daniel-Friedgen.de reserves the right to change this privacy policy if this should become necessary due to new technologies. Please ensure that you have the most recent version. If fundamental changes are made to this privacy policy, we will announce these changes on our website. Questions for the data protection officer
